As you may or may not know the latest beta update to Object Dock Plus was retracted. At present you can only download the full version of the software. The errors that were found in the last update will take longer than expected to correct, more so they are interrupting new tools being built for the 2.0 planned update. It will take about a month to correct so expect the next beta push some time in November.

Currently customers report that they have system tray issues on Vista 64bit under the current version. 32bit should not be effected. If you are experiencing troubles with Object Dock please uninstall, restart your system, then reinstall the Plus version through Impulse.

As you might know as well the weather docklet that comes with the Plus version does not have access to all AccuWeather server sites and some citys and areas might not be represented. In case this applies to you please search out other locations near by through the docklet properties window.

Thank you very much for your patience in this matter and we hope to have a new testing beta ready for you as soon as we are able.

I don't think there could be a problem with it. I have a XP 32 at home and I tried it out with no troubles. If you have any please let me know and I will see that QA/Support looks into it.

I was having trouble on XP 32 bit but followed above to reinstall the update and it's working now...

Thanks Stardock!

Was the latest update the only one that enabled x64 support? If not, wouldnt it be possible to roll back to the last working OD+ beta? Just wonderin and hopin you get it fixed soon. Im missin bein able ta hide my taskbar. (Unless someone knows of a 64bit bit vista compatible alternative to the OD start menu and systray support)

I'm afraid so. Since new testing has already under gone with some of the new assests this became the best course of action. We have no intention of leaving you waiting any longer than we have to. That might sound pretty vague but we are looking at a month pretty seriously. If no set backs occur we will provide you the means to kill your taskbar once again.

Yes that is correct. The update is due out this month to not only handle that but a few extra bugs as well.

Impulse is still the best way to go for any an all updates for our programs and it will be the only location to get the next update.

Any updates on the....update?

on Dec 03, 2008

The update is sort of up in the air. Upper management is looking at exactly what needs to be done with it and where they want it to go. The update will be delayed due to this and other factors. Sorry for the delay. I'll post again when I have more details.

Ya know Seabass when I saw you crawl out on that limb a little while back and say an update was in the works I kind of cringed a little bit.  Bless your paper-bagged head for trying though.

Heh, thanks very much for understanding.

Almost been a year, wondering if you have an update for us?

on Dec 13, 2009

I agree with MPDredd1972.  It has been a long time since there's been an update of any kind.  Has Stardock abandoned ObjectDock?
