Start Menu

I would just like a quick check with our customers if some are still having issues with the Start menu docklet that comes built into Object Dock Plus. There seems to be some kind of inconsistency with this issue and was just curious if you could help me narrow down this bug.

Yes, I know this is a plus post - but I'm wondering if there can be an option to set where the start panel displays
1.90 Freeloader version build 534 per the about (SDC says 1.90.032)
only issue I've ever had with it is: since the panel likes to set close to the docklet, if I mouse over 'all programs' I can't get the full list = if the docklet's on the right I can't even see all of it = if the docklet's on the left I can see the icons in the 3rd panel & that's while using Vienna2 with really small font (res is 1024x768 with no option to change)

Just tried it, explorer crashed... I cannot access the taskbar now (even with restarting explorer), so I will have to use Task Manager to reboot

Had a small rash of emails over the weekend. Just checking in the with masses incase this was common. I am thinking that these are just coincidence.
To my Vista users give this a try. Apply a animated theme from WB6 then stick in a Start menu docklet. There is a inconsistent issue that I am thinking is video card based. So if you have an error please let me know what video card you are using.

Seabass I am using XP PRO SP2
OD+ 1.90i(
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768 MB
WindowBlinds 6.00(b)98
USing the Molten Windowblind included with WB6 and the start menu docklet...it opens normally moving my mouse onto the Start menu causes the start menu to disappear. I am able to get to say My Documents ect but the Start menu disappears before I am able to single click on anything.
This does not occur with non-animated WB's
I have not used any animated WB's with WB 5.51 so am unable to tell you if this issue existed in that version.

Perfect that was what I was looking for. If you get the same issue with nVidia cards under these circumstances please just drop in a "Me Too" or something.
If you manage to get this by any other means than Vista, WB6 animated, Start Menu docklet please post here with your info.
Thank you Secret
add on: on second thought can anyone with ATI reproduce this?

I am not sure if I get the right thread to answer this, but I am running vista home premium, german version, and I do have some trouble with the start menu thingie in OD+ 1.90, build 535u. My machine has an ATI Radeon X1300 Pro.
It actually does work just fine when I click on the Start Menu thingie after a restart, but after that, I get the message "StartMenu helper file was injected but failed to take effect. Can not show start menu at this time, please try again"
Well, I can try again as many times as I want, I just get this msg over and over again.

That bug you are describing they already know about I believe. I will make doubly sure for you though. I am just testing how Object Docks start docklet is handling the animated menus.
Thank you for your input though.

Also, I, newbie, bought yesterday, 10th of october, the plus version after trying out the free version.
The version is 1.90 and also I get this message after clicking the start menu on my docks:
Unable to find the start menu Try again and more....
What's the solution.....

PS Really a great program orth to buy and the plus version is far more better as the free version.
The only real min is that a manual is not included....but ok...trying out has his charme.

Did you have the trial version installed and then installed the Plus version over top? They don't play well together.
