For all the people that were saying they were having trouble with Impulse downloading to XP64 bit and Vista 64bit with the error message saying it wasn't compatible I have good news.

Last night a new staging went through to correct this problem. It wasn't actually an Impulse error but the server it was communicating with sending the wrong info. That has been corrected now and you should have no troubles. Even if you were using the software late into the night/morning please give it another go. If you have the same troubles at all we would like to hear about it right away please.

I don't know about XP or Vista 64bit, but I can confirm that both Impulse and Demigod both run flawlessly on Windows 7. In case anyone was wondering

I am running Vista 64 bit Ultimate with an Nvidia 260 and 8 GB of ram.

I couldn't get this game to run past the start screen.

I tested this today, Sunday, March 15 of 2009.

Has anybody else run into this problem?

Just to keep this thread up to date, I installed Impulse and through it Sins of a Solar Empire on my Windows 7 64-bit system with no problems whatsoever. Kudos!

maybe i missunderstood this but the OP did not talked about problems running impulse on 64bit. he talked about downloading it on a 64bit system.

Impulse should be good to go on every 64bit install except for XP 64.

Don't get Vista, get Win 7. If you're getting a new system it should come with Win 7 anyway. Trust me, it's a HUGE improvement over Vista. Win 7 has all the good aspects of Vista minus all the shit that makes Vista suck balls.

For some reason Sins of a Soloar Empire will not run on my 64bit comp. I have tried the original and the new Trinity and neither will run. Anyone know something that will help with this?

Which version of Windows is it that you are trying to run it on?
